Yuma Area Ag Council Mission Statement: To promote the value of local agriculture with a united voice by fostering relationships with government and school officials, the media and general public through education and awareness programs.

Did you know that half of Arizona's 3 Billion dollar agricultural revenue comes from Yuma County? That's right! We have a 1.5 Billion dollar industry in our own back yard and most people take it completely for granted.

The purpose of the Yuma Area Ag Council is to protect this local industry and to inform the public about issues concerning local agriculture and what is being grown in our area.

One of our biggest projects has been launched in conjunction with APS where the YAAC posts signs along our highways identifying the crops being grown and offering the public our Web address where they can find more information and see photographs about those crops.

Now that you have logged on, click on the crop information link at the top of the page to see the crops that are currently being grown then click on that crop to view the detailed information we have provided.

We are continually updating this information as crops rotate through the vast farmland throughout Southern Arizona so please check back often.

And, of course we encourage any questions, comments or suggestions and look forward to hearing from you. Enjoy your visit to the Web site.
